The world spins, the tides come and go, the winds blow, the rain and snow fall, the plants grow, the seasons change, the cycle of life rotates on and on…and then there are the humans; they go about their lives almost completely oblivious to the life cycle, somehow thinking in some way that it’s below them, that it doesn’t pertain to them. The problems with the Earth seem like little concern to them in their houses, apartments, condos, they think they are safe in their homes; they think they can just keep using and using, just assuming there will always be enough to go around. What will happen to them when it’s all gone; how will they survive? I suppose they will adapt to the change; there are strong, resourceful, people among them; ones that would take charge, and organize what needed to be done, but will it be too late? Have they become too complacent, too comfortable in their style of living day to day, getting all their needs met at the nearby store. For the observer it is almost painful to watch it all happen; a mild pity enters the mind; is it really their fault? Generation after generation have bred this, evolution…or devolution, into the race; strong willed, but perhaps weak minded and unskilled in survival. Will their will alone be enough to survive the future of this planet? Some things are yet to be seen, the Observer continues to watch until whatever end may come.
